NVIDIA and GE HealthCare have announced a collaboration to develop autonomous diagnostic imaging tools, focusing initially on X-ray and ultrasound technologies. This partnership aims to alleviate the increasing workload on healthcare professionals by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into medical imaging processes.
Leveraging NVIDIA’s computing platforms, including Isaac for Healthcare and Jetson, GE HealthCare plans to create AI-enabled imaging systems. These platforms will facilitate the automation of tasks such as patient positioning, image acquisition, and quality control. The objective is to enhance efficiency, standardize imaging procedures, and reduce the strain on healthcare providers amid rising imaging demands and staffing shortages.
