PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Outfront Health, a provider of physician-guided preventive health screenings, today announced the appointment of Dr. Shane Speirs, MD, MBA, as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this role, Dr. Speirs will lead clinical strategy, oversee screening protocols, and support the company’s expansion of non-invasive cardiovascular and stroke risk screening services.
Dr. Speirs brings extensive experience in clinical medicine, healthcare leadership, and preventive care innovation. He currently serves as President of HealthyU Clinics, where he has led initiatives focused on advancing value-based care, improving population health outcomes, and leveraging data analytics to drive more proactive, patient-centered care.
“Dr. Speirs’ appointment marks an important milestone for Outfront Health,” said Markus Fort, Co-Founder of Outfront Health. “His clinical leadership and commitment to preventive medicine align directly with our mission to make proactive health screening more accessible, trustworthy, and actionable for patients.”
Outfront Health offers non-invasive, 30-minute heart health screening services delivered within established clinical settings. The company’s screening includes a limited echocardiogram to evaluate heart function, carotid artery ultrasound to help assess stroke-related risk factors, and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening to detect vascular abnormalities. Patients also receive AFib screening using FDA-cleared technology, along with blood pressure screening and a functional strength assessment – providing a comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment.
As CMO, Dr. Speirs will support the development of standardized clinical protocols, enhance interpretation and reporting, and ensure each heart screening test delivers clear, physician-reviewed insights. He will also collaborate with partner clinics and medical advisors to integrate services into existing care environments.
“I’m excited to join Outfront Health because this model brings preventive screening closer to where patients already receive care,” said Dr. Speirs. “Non-invasive cardiovascular and vascular imaging can help identify risk factors earlier, giving patients and their physicians clearer information before symptoms appear.”
Dr. Speirs is board-certified in Family Medicine with additional training in Geriatric Medicine. He completed his residency with Abrazo Health and a fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, and holds an Executive MBA from Arizona State University.
Outfront Health is currently operating in Arizona, with plans for expansion into additional U.S. markets.
