Paralign Health Raises $3 Million Seed Round to Build National EMS-Led Preventative Care Network in Rural America

KANSAS CITY, Mo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Paralign Health, the healthcare technology company enabling health plans to reach underserved patients through Mobile Integrated Health-Community Paramedicine (MIH-CP), announced it has raised $3 million in seed funding to grow its national network of fire departments and EMS agencies, accelerate the development of its technology platform, and expand its health plan partnerships.

The round was led by Flyover Capital, with participation from SixThirty Ventures, Springtime Ventures, Forum Ventures, Sorenson Impact Foundation, Stone Mountain Ventures, and GovTech Ventures.

“Rural communities need new ways to expand access to care, and local EMS agencies are one of the most trusted assets already in place,” said Patrick Berry, Partner at Flyover Capital. “Paralign is building an operating model to help health plans and EMS agencies turn that trust into a scalable care model.”

More than one in four Americans live in medically underserved areas with limited access to preventative healthcare. These patients experience disproportionately high rates of unmanaged chronic illness, avoidable emergency room utilization, and poor long-term health outcomes.

Paralign Health enables health plans to activate local fire departments and EMS agencies to reach these patients with EMS-led, in-home preventative care, also known as Mobile Integrated Health–Community Paramedicine (MIH-CP). By leveraging trusted emergency response teams already embedded within local communities, the company helps health plans proactively engage patients who often lack reliable access to primary care and preventative services.

“Fire departments and EMS agencies already know who is falling through the cracks because they see these patients every day,” said Paralign CEO and EMT Aaron Molloy. “We’re building the infrastructure that allows health plans and local EMS teams to work together upstream—before preventable situations become medical emergencies.”

Paralign—co-founded by Molloy and EMS leader Justin Duncan—enables health plans to identify high-risk members, coordinate in-home EMS-led interventions, track performance, and manage contracting, claims, and payment flows with local EMS agencies. The model is designed to improve patient outcomes while reducing avoidable healthcare utilization and total cost of care.

“As an EMT, I witnessed firsthand that communities succeed when they’re empowered to care for their own,” added Molloy. “Paralign improves patient outcomes while establishing a foundation for a fairer and more sustainable healthcare system.”
