Indoor health technology company appoints veteran air quality executive to lead its next phase of growth and bring Far-UVC technology into more of the spaces people occupy every day
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Visium, a technology company pioneering healthier indoor environments through Far-UVC technology, today announced the appointment of Jason DiBona as Chief Executive Officer. DiBona joins Visium as the company enters its next phase of growth, with rising demand for continuous, science-backed indoor air and surface protection across commercial real estate, healthcare, education, sports, and other sectors.
DiBona brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning medtech, health sciences, and global business operations. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Molekule, where he advanced the company’s mission to make clean, healthy air accessible to everyone and advanced its vision of indoor air quality as a foundational pillar of well-being. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at global health and technology companies, guiding organizations through transformation, market expansion, and innovations that improved lives at scale.
“Visium has built something the world urgently needs: technology that makes healthy indoor air an invisible, everyday reality instead of an aspiration,” said DiBona. “I’m honored to join this team and to help bring that mission into more of the places where people live, work, recover, and play.”
Throughout his career, DiBona has worked at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and the built environment, driven by the conviction that some of the most important health interventions happen not inside a doctor’s office, but in the air of the buildings people occupy every day. He currently serves as a commissioner on the International WELL Building Institute’s Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air, joining leaders from around the world working toward a shared vision for healthier indoor environments for everyone, everywhere.
“Once people understand the power of Far-UVC to continuously inactivate airborne viruses in occupied indoor spaces, the question I hear most often is: Why isn’t this everywhere?” said Matt Higgins, Co-Founder of Visium. “That is the ambition behind bringing Jason to Visium. He has the rare combination of consumer experience, deep expertise in indoor health technology, and the ability to translate complex science into something people can understand and embrace. He is exactly the leader we need to take Far-UVC from the laboratory into living rooms, classrooms, workplaces and every other space where people gather. We should not have to wait for the next pandemic to build a more resilient society. Under Jason’s leadership, our goal is to make this technology part of the infrastructure of everyday life.”
DiBona succeeds Visium Co-Founder and CEO John Rajchert, who has led the company since its formation. Rajchert will remain actively involved with Visium as Co-Founder and adviser, working with DiBona and the leadership team to support the company’s continued growth and to accelerate breakthrough developments of next-generation Far-UVC LEDs from semiconductor research at Visium UltraLabs.
DiBona has long argued that access to clean, healthy air is not a luxury, but a cornerstone of public health, equity, and human potential – a philosophy that aligns closely with Visium’s own mission to create safer, healthier, and more productive indoor environments. His role is effective immediately.
About Visium
Visium is an indoor health technology company developing and deploying Far-UVC technology designed to continuously reduce harmful airborne and surface pathogens in occupied spaces., It’s a type of ultraviolet light (specifically in the 200–230 nm range) that acts as a powerful germicidal tool to inactivate airborne viruses and bacteria, such as Influenza A, MRSA, SARS CoV-2, and Candida auris. Unlike conventional UVC, it is considered safe for humans in occupied spaces. Designed for real-world environments, Visium improves indoor environmental quality silently and automatically. Headquartered in West Palm Beach, Visium works across healthcare, commercial real estate, sports, and high-performance environments, as well as biosecurity applications in livestock and agriculture. Visium UltraLabs, located in Ithaca, New York, is a world leading advanced semiconductor research group focused on developing next-generation materials and Far-UVC LED technology.
