Leading industry experts will come together for multi-day conference to discuss how advancements in AI-driven automation, agentic AI, and data analytics will accelerate clinical trials
BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–eClinical Solutions LLC, a global provider of digital clinical software and services, will convene global technology and biopharma leaders October 12-14 for its eighth annual client and partner conference, ENGAGE 2026. The company will host over 250 attendees at W Philadelphia, including representatives from over 75 life science organizations such as GSK, Moderna, Bayer, Takeda, Daiichi-Sankyo, Vertex, Eisai, ICON, and industry partner corporate sponsors including PwC and Cognizant.
“As AI becomes more capable, the question for clinical development is how to make it useful in work where context matters and decisions carry consequences,” said Raj Indupuri, CEO and co-founder of eClinical Solutions. “That requires going beyond technology to incorporate the expertise of the people conducting the research. Our eighth annual ENGAGE event brings those people together to share what is working and help shape what comes next.”
Day 1 Agenda Highlights
Raj Indupuri will give a CEO address discussing how connected data, study context, and human judgment can turn rapidly improving AI into clinical decisions people can trust. eClinical Solutions’ Chief Product Officer, Nathan Johnson, will illustrate a future “day in the life” of clinical teams working with AI, showing how clinical data intelligence can inform their decisions and actions. Dr. Elin Haf Davies will take the stage for the keynote address. A former children’s nurse with a PhD in Neurometabolics, Dr. Davies has spent her career advancing treatments for rare diseases, including working in drug development, advising the European Medicines Agency, and founding digital health company Aparito. She is the first Welsh woman to row across the Atlantic and was on the first all-woman team to row across the Indian Ocean. She will share lessons in resilience, adaptability, and embracing uncertainty, exploring how leaders can lean into change, inspire innovation, and turn ideas into action.
Also on day 1, Lauren Katzenstein and John Hirschman from Merck will share the company’s medical monitoring journey with eClinical Solution’s clinical data intelligence platform, elluminate. Later in the day, Parexel’s Kenneth Lima Ganse and Swatin Shetty will present on the company’s experience using elluminate to turn data into insight. Their presentation will include examples of how Parexel’s experience implementing elluminate helps inform and strengthen platform innovation.
The company will host mainstage discussions and interactive breakout sessions focused on advancing integrated and risk-based approaches to data review and management, along with risk-based quality management (RBQM) implementation, integration, and adoption with elluminate. As sponsors adapt to ICH E6(R3), effective RBQM requires organizations to integrate quality considerations into trial design and execution. Other session topics will address data ingestion and transformation workflows, and streamlining risk-based data management workflows with an integrated data review plan (IDRP). Additional speakers on day 1 will include Alex Crawford from Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Stijn Rogiers and Jasmine Kestemont from argenx, Jonathan Rowe from ZS, and Sean McNiff of Dyne Therapeutics. eClinical’s Bob Arnesen, Vera Pomerantseva, Les Jordan, Sam Anwar, Meredith Bell, Nick Bartolone, Alicia Asgari, Jason Konn, and Raghu Cilukha will also present, alongside event emcee Dawn Kaminski.
Day 2 Agenda Highlights
Sarah Clark from AstraZeneca, Michael Underhill from Astellas, and Renu Shukla from Johnson & Johnson will join eClinical’s Gina Wood to explore the human and operational impact of AI in clinical research during the panel “How Work Happens Now: Rethinking Clinical Data Process and Expertise in the Age of AI.” While industry conversation focuses on new models, agents, and use cases, the panel will tackle the harder questions around what AI means for the people, processes, and expertise behind the work. Ian Shafer and Mike Kelley from PwC will highlight the power of turning signals into action when technology can break down silos and dynamically connect RBQM with R&D Ops.
In the afternoon Chief Delivery Officer, Biometrics Services, Katrina Rice, together with eClinical’s Grant Williamson, Diane Lacroix, and Demi Niforos, will review how the eClinical Solutions Biometrics Services team uses elluminate, incorporates AI into workflows, and operationalizes the clinical data intelligence platform for successful data delivery outcomes.
Additional sessions on day 2 will focus on clinical data platform change management and adoption, data review AI use cases and results, and cross-functional collaboration via elluminate. Speakers will include Peter Bayer of Ascendis Pharma and Crystal Matthews-Barron of Karyopharm Therapeutics, plus eClinical’s Yuliya Cashman-Kiperberg and Jaclyn Clark.
