As CMO, Cho will lead the company’s new brand platform, reflecting its commitment to reducing administrative friction for the 13,000+ practices it serves
SOUTH JORDAN, Utah–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AI—AdvancedMD, a provider of cloud-based healthcare software for independent medical practices, today announced the appointment of Stephanie Cho as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In conjunction with Cho’s appointment to CMO, AdvancedMD unveiled Move Care Forward, a new brand platform that articulates the company’s singular focus: giving independent practices the tools to spend less time on administrative work and more time on patient care.
Move Care Forward is the result of extensive research into what independent practice leaders need most. AdvancedMD found that the single greatest barrier to growth for ambulatory care practices isn’t clinical complexity — it’s everyday administrative friction. Chasing reimbursements, managing claims, working through denials, and handling after-hours charting drain the time and energy that should go to patients. Move Care Forward names that problem directly and commits the company to solving it through an integrated platform that addresses these challenges at the source.
“Every independent practice leader I talk to is dealing with the same equation: rising costs, tighter margins, and a team that’s exhausted from doing work that has little to do with patient care,” said Cho. “The place that friction shows up most painfully is in the revenue cycle — billing, claims, denials, eligibility checks. It’s where small practices either build a sustainable business or quietly lose ground. AdvancedMD has built genuine depth in that part of the platform, and pairing it with an integrated EHR, practice management, and patient engagement system is what makes the company different. Move Care Forward is our commitment to keep building for the parts of the day that matter most to the people running these practices.”
Cho joins AdvancedMD from SimplePractice, where as Vice President of Marketing she led the full customer marketing organization for the mental health care SaaS platform, with responsibility spanning customer, product, and brand marketing; market research, pricing, and monetization; and communications and PR. There she architected the company’s payments monetization strategy, led the go-to-market for its acquisition of a managed billing service that anchors SimplePractice’s current billing and insurance offerings, and led a full product packaging and pricing overhaul — each delivering multi-million dollar revenue impact. Earlier, Cho led product marketing for the QuickBooks services portfolio at Intuit, where she repositioned the company’s online payroll lineup and led go-to-market for the QuickBooks Banking portfolio. She has also held marketing leadership roles at Wells Fargo and American Express. She holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
“How we tell our story has never mattered more,” said AdvancedMD CEO Amanda Sharp. “Stephanie understands the independent practice community, and her product-led growth background is exactly right for where we’re headed. She’s the right leader to make sure every practice in ambulatory care knows what AdvancedMD can do for them — and that Move Care Forward isn’t a tagline, it’s how we operate.”
Cho’s appointment and the launch of Move Care Forward come during a period of accelerated investment for the company. AdvancedMD has released multiple AI-enabled solutions within its AI Clinical Assistant suite, including Ambient Listening and Transcription to automate documentation, and an AI Action Items feature that analyzes patient visit transcripts and generates suggested follow-ups for the patient chart.
