Rule brings over 20 years of international supply chain and manufacturing expertise to build out BioFlyte’s manufacturing operations and meet growing demand for biothreat surveillance solutions
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–BioFlyte, a bioaerosol surveillance firm with a disruptive new class of fieldable biological threat collection, detection, and identification solutions, today announced the appointment of Bill Rule as Vice President of Manufacturing. In this role on the BioFlyte leadership team, Rule will oversee the development of a dedicated manufacturing function and manage a robust supply chain model as the company scales its commercialization efforts.
Rule has a proven track record of helping startups and small companies scale by implementing successful supply chain and manufacturing processes. Most recently, he served as the Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Everactive, an IoT platform company. For the last several years, Rule has also managed his own supply chain and manufacturing engineering consultancy where he has assisted small to mid-sized companies with projects ranging from international factory stand up and quality control, to new product introduction and prototype production planning.
Rule laid the groundwork for his successful career during his time at Aruba Networks, now a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, where he worked his way up to the roles of Senior Director, Manufacturing Engineering and, later, Vice President of Global Supply Chain. He led the team that was responsible for new product introduction, global contract manufacturing qualification, supply chain qualification, and more.
“BioFlyte has the opportunity to capitalize on the growing interest in and demand for bioaerosol surveillance technologies with a global manufacturing and supply chain operation,” said Todd Sickles, CEO of BioFlyte. “Bill has the right set of skills and experience that helped scale global supply chains at Aruba Networks and will now help ensure the supply side of our business can sustainably support this growing market demand. We are excited to welcome him to the team at this critical time in our evolution.”
“BioFlyte’s technology has the potential to transform the way we monitor for and respond to the ever-evolving realm of biothreats,” said Bill Rule. “I am thrilled to be joining such a talented and industry savvy team and look forward to using my expertise to help the company scale the use of this disruptive technology.”
