Corcym Announces First-in-Human Implant of TriMemo®, Extending Its Memo Platform to Tricuspid Valve Repair

The FDA-Cleared, Semi-Rigid Ring, Purpose-Built for the Tricuspid Valve, Brings More Than 20 Years of Memo Technology to the Valve for the First Time

CLEVELAND–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#cardiotwitterCorcym, a global medical device company dedicated to cardiac surgery, today announced the first-in-human implantation of TriMemo®, a semi-rigid annuloplasty ring dedicated to tricuspid valve repair. The procedure was performed at Cleveland Clinic by A. Marc Gillinov, MD, Chairman of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and Judith Dion Pyle Chair in Heart Valve Research.

The Memo platform is a technology, not a device – its core is a laser-cut Nitinol architecture with superelastic properties, proven over nearly 20 years in mitral valve repair. TriMemo is its first application tailored to the tricuspid valve, and tailored is the right word. TriMemo was not adapted from a mitral ring. It was conceived for the tricuspid from the first sketch – with graduated stiffness matched to the valve’s anatomy, support for physiological motion, and a design that adapts to every surgical approach, from sternotomy to robotics.

“It was a privilege to be part of the team performing the first-in-man implant of the ring for tricuspid valve repair. The device performed very well, and I’m encouraged by what we’ve seen so far,” said Dr. Gillinov.

“This first-in-human implantation is a defining moment for Corcym,” said Christian Mazzi, Chief Executive Officer of Corcym. “TriMemo embodies the dedication of our teams and the surgeons who guided us at every step. To see it perform validates the technology and our approach to innovation: building on what surgeons trust, and tailoring it to where it’s needed most.”

TriMemo received FDA clearance in April 2026 and is commercially available in the United States. Corcym will formally introduce the ring to the international cardiac surgery community at the EACTS Annual Meeting in October 2026, marking 20 years of the Memo platform.
