Visit booth #1436 to see the next evolution of the Expanse EHR platform
CANTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Join MEDITECH at ViVE 2026 in Los Angeles (booth #1436) as we showcase how the latest evolution of the Expanse EHR is helping healthcare organizations thrive in an increasingly complex healthcare ecosystem.
As the industry pivots toward value-based models, MEDITECH leaders will demonstrate how Expanse leverages AI and intelligent interoperability to transform raw data into powerful insights within clinicians’ native workflows. Built on a secure, cloud-native platform, Expanse provides the technological infrastructure necessary to help organizations balance clinical excellence with long-term financial stability, ensuring that providers remain empowered to deliver high-quality care across the entire care continuum.
Visitors to the booth will learn more about how the following advancements are an integral part of Expanse’s intelligent platform:
- AI tools that function as intelligent collaborators, from ambient intelligence to clinician assistant and claim denial agents, minimizing cognitive strain and amplifying the human experience.
- Interoperability solutions like Traverse Exchange, that seamlessly integrate and consolidate patient data from across the care ecosystem for a unified and intuitive view within the clinician’s workflow.
- Patient empowerment tools that support patients’ active participation in their care — including an AI-assistant — improving health outcomes, fostering patient loyalty, and enhancing patient satisfaction.
Hear from the leaders defining the future of health IT. MEDITECH and customer executives will lead several high-impact discussions at ViVE 2026, including:
-
The Supply & Demand for Patient Data
MEDITECH Senior Director of Interoperability Mike Cordeiro will present on Monday, February 23, 1:10 p.m. at the West Coast Stage. Healthcare innovation requires rebalancing the supply and demand for patient data, as the current control of health information by a few vendors limits progress in AI, analytics, and patient-centered care. Cordeiro shares how the industry must move beyond compliance to embrace true interoperability, and empower patients to freely access their data — transforming care and improving outcomes.

When Small Gets Tough: Digital Health in Resource-Thin Environments
Wooster Community Hospital Health System Vice President and CIO of Information Systems Eric Gasser will present on Monday, February 23, 2:20 at the Palm Stage. Gasser will discuss how creative solutions to improving clinical staff engagement with the EHR can lead to better care for patients. He will share his experience launching the FUN (Free Up Nurses) Time initiative. FUN Time empowered nurses to become active participants in EHR governance and led to measurable results, including a significant reduction in projected annual nursing documentation time, a decrease in the number of clicks required, and a notable increase in the staff’s Net EHR Experience Score, ultimately re-engaging nurses and streamlining clinical operations.“I’m excited to connect at ViVE 2026 and eager to share the success of Wooster Community Hospital’s FUN Time initiative,” said Gasser. “The results have been remarkable — both in terms of operational outcomes and nursing engagement. We set out to reduce the documentation burden and streamline workflows, and the feedback from our frontline nurses allowed us to exceed every metric we set.”

EHR Maturity Moment
MEDITECH Executive Vice President and COO Helen Waters will present on Tuesday, February 24, 1:50 p.m. on the Sunset Stage. After heavy investment and lots of dedicated time, health systems have the foundational EHR infrastructure they hoped would modernize care, but now are asking what’s next? The focus has shifted to reimagining how EHRs can be used. Waters joins other panelists to discuss how EHRs can reduce friction in the system and make the business of healthcare easier.
“As a longtime active CHIME foundation firm member, we are excited to join ViVE 2026,” said MEDITECH Chief Marketing and Nursing Executive Cathy Turner. “We support CHIME’s initiative to unite digital health leaders in building impactful connections. Our teams are looking forward to having open discussions with attendees, to share how the Expanse platform drives innovation while ensuring scalability and fiscal responsibility in a rapidly evolving industry.”
MEDITECH invites guests to an in-booth networking reception on Monday, February 23, from 4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. in booth #1436.
