Addition of specialized medical equipment planning capabilities advances Guide’s vision of creating the premier healthcare design and delivery platform in the country
DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Guide Architecture (“Guide”), a national healthcare-focused architecture, planning, and design firm, today announced the acquisition of MAIA Consulting (“MAIA”), a 25-person healthcare consulting firm specializing in medical equipment planning and related services. Guide is a portfolio company of Grovecourt Capital.
Melody Vandivere, MAIA’s founder, will continue to lead the practice and serve as Guide’s National Medical Equipment Planning Leader, directing the continued growth of Guide’s medical equipment planning capabilities and team.
“MAIA is a natural fit for Guide and an important step toward our vision of creating the premier healthcare design and delivery platform in the country,” said Mark Criswell, CEO of Guide Architecture. “Melody and her team have built a highly respected business with deep medical equipment planning expertise and strong healthcare relationships. Together, we can bring broader capabilities to our clients, create greater access and opportunities for our teams, and continue building a platform focused on the needs of healthcare organizations.”
“I am incredibly excited about what this means for our team and our clients,” said Melody Vandivere, Founder and CEO of MAIA Consulting. “We built MAIA with a focus on being a trusted partner to healthcare organizations and project teams. Guide has that same client-first mindset, along with a strong national healthcare practice. Joining forces gives us the opportunity to bring our expertise to more clients, create new opportunities for our team, and make medical equipment planning an even more integrated part of healthcare project delivery.”
MAIA will continue to serve healthcare organizations, architects, contractors, and project teams across the industry, both with Guide and alongside other design professionals and firms. Maintaining MAIA’s existing client relationships and its ability to collaborate broadly across the healthcare industry will remain a critical component of its growth strategy.
The acquisition represents the next step in Guide’s long-term strategy to bring together specialized healthcare capabilities that help clients navigate more of the capital-project lifecycle. From early planning and design, through equipment, implementation, and delivery, Guide will continue to emphasize the deep expertise, accountability, and client relationships of focused specialty teams.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Greenberg Traurig served as legal counsel to Guide Architecture. Wilkinson Barker Knauer served as legal counsel to MAIA Consulting.
