Previously exited health tech founder (Eliza, acq. by Spring Health) brings AI + mental-health technology and go-to-market expertise to HoloMD’s next phase of growth.
ROCKVILLE, Md. & SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–HoloMD, developer of Dr. Holo™, a human-supervised AI platform advancing Continuous Precision Psychiatry™, is delighted to announce the appointment of Irene Lang as Chief Executive Officer and Cofounder. Founder Bruce Alan Kehr, M.D., will transition to Chief Medical Innovation Officer.
Lang brings an uncommon combination of behavioral science, technology, and commercialization experience. She developed machine-learning-based quantitative modeling and decision-support systems for hedge fund managers, subsequently led research initiatives at Twitter, and co-founded Eliza, an AI-enabled mental-health technology company acquired by Spring Health approximately 18 months after inception.
At Eliza, Lang combined behavioral research, direct customer engagement, and product development to achieve product-market fit. In one adoption initiative, her approach increased therapist engagement from approximately 15% to nearly 100% of caseload. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she also brings relationships across Silicon Valley’s technology, startup, and investment communities.
“I told our Board that if HoloMD is going to create the category of Continuous Precision Psychiatry, we needed a CEO with capabilities different from my own,” said Dr. Kehr. “I wanted a Silicon Valley leader who knew how to build products people love, scale adoption, and attract capital. Among the many candidates we evaluated, Irene stood apart. Her experience, judgment, and determination complement my 40-plus years in precision psychiatry. Together, we intend to bring the soul of Potomac Psychiatry – our clinical philosophy, compassion, and expertise – to millions of patients and their families through Dr. Holo.”
HoloMD enters this next phase with early operating evidence. Its Banyan Treatment Centers 180-day paid pilot enrolled 138 patients, reported 83% retention, and generated 43 human-reviewed escalations, including 19 relapse-related alerts. These findings demonstrate meaningful engagement and actionable risk detection.
Potomac Psychiatry was named Global Precision Psychiatry Practice of the Year 2026, while HoloMD received Mental Health Tech Innovators of the Year 2026 recognition. Dr. Kehr is a ten-year Castle Connolly Top Doctor honoree.
“Technology succeeds when it becomes indispensable to the people using it,” said Lang. “HoloMD has something rare: deep clinical expertise, real patient engagement, and a foundation already operating in clinical practice. My focus is turning that foundation into a product clinicians trust, patients use, and healthcare organizations can scale economically. Bruce and I share the ambition to make Continuous Precision Psychiatry the standard of care between visits.”
With complementary clinical and Silicon Valley leadership, HoloMD is advancing its commercialization strategy and engaging investors to support its next stage of growth.
