Upcoming ISG Provider Lens® report will evaluate providers helping life sciences enterprises adopt AI for drug discovery, clinical development and commercial operations
STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–$III #AI–Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm, has launched a research study examining providers that help enterprises improve research productivity, optimize development pipelines and enhance patient outcomes through AI.
The study results will be published in a comprehensive ISG Provider Lens® report, called AI Services in Life Sciences 2026 — Strategic Capabilities, scheduled to be released in November 2026. The report will cover companies offering services related to AI strategy and transformation, along with AI platform engineering, deployment and operationalization across the life sciences industry.
Enterprise buyers will be able to use the report’s insights to evaluate their current vendor relationships, identify potential new engagements and compare available offerings. ISG advisors will use the research to guide clients through increasingly complex transformation and platform investment decisions.
Life sciences organizations are deploying AI in production as advances in generative AI, agentic AI and multimodal models enable more sophisticated scientific reasoning and knowledge discovery. Enterprises are increasingly using AI to integrate data from scientific literature, clinical records, imaging and laboratory systems for faster, more informed decision-making. As they expand AI initiatives, life sciences organizations are addressing growing demands for governance, explainability, regulatory compliance and cybersecurity.
“Life sciences enterprises are increasingly focused on translating AI investments into measurable scientific and business outcomes,” said Iain Fisher, director, ISG. “To achieve sustainable value from responsibly deployed AI, they are turning to service providers to overcome numerous challenges, including workforce readiness and data quality and interoperability.”
ISG has distributed surveys to more than 60 AI service providers in life sciences. Working in collaboration with ISG’s global advisors, the research team will produce two quadrants representing the AI services that typical life sciences enterprises are seeking, based on ISG’s experience working with its clients. The two quadrants are:
- Life Sciences AI Consulting and Transformation Services, evaluating providers that help life sciences organizations assess AI readiness, define enterprise strategies, establish governance frameworks and scale adoption of AI, GenAI and agentic AI across R&D, clinical, regulatory and commercial functions.
- Life Sciences AI Platforms, Engineering and Deployment Services, assessing providers that design, build, deploy and optimize AI, GenAI and agentic AI solutions, enabling life sciences organizations to achieve scalable, secure and compliant adoption.
The report from this study will cover the global AI service providers in life sciences market and examine products and services available globally. ISG analysts Rohan Sinha and Sneha Jayanth will serve as authors of the report.
A list of identified providers and vendors and further details on the study are available in this digital brochure. Companies not listed as AI services providers in life science can contact ISG and ask to be included in the study.
All 2026 ISG Provider Lens evaluations feature expanded customer experience (CX) data capturing real-world enterprise feedback on specific provider services and solutions, based on ISG’s continuous CX research.
