Medbridge Debuts First Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Care Intelligence Loop

Addition of Medbridge Outcomes to the Medbridge One Care platform delivers the ability to continuously improve clinician skill, care delivery, and patient outcomes in a single system

BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Medbridge, a leader in digital care solutions for healthcare professionals, today introduced Medbridge Outcomes: an offering that gives rehabilitation and physical therapy organizations the ability to collect, measure, and submit patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in alignment with payment and regulatory guidelines. Medbridge Outcomes has been built to work seamlessly with the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) PROs reporting.

“Rehabilitation and physical therapy leaders need systems that can keep up with the pace of care, payment, and patient preferences without adding more burden to their teams, requiring an innovative approach to processes that have historically lived in different systems,” said Donovan Campbell, CEO of Medbridge. “By adding Medbridge Outcomes to our One Care platform, we’ve connected the dots from patient care to patient outcomes to reimbursement, making it possible for both clinicians and back-office leaders to collect the outcomes they need without putting additional burden on their front-line staff.”

Medbridge Outcomes is purpose-built within existing clinical and patient workflows to address the biggest barrier to collecting needed patient-reported outcomes: a provider workflow and patient care experience that’s disconnected from normal, day-to-day care operations. More health insurance providers are asking for proof that care is working and using that information to determine rates. Similarly, CMS is continuously raising the bar for quality reporting, which impacts PROs reporting and MIPS participation. Referral sources are also increasingly relying on demonstrated care efficacy to maintain or increase referral flows. All of these changes have increased administrative and operational work for patients, clinicians, and organizations, taking away from valuable patient care time.

Medbridge Outcomes makes data more accessible and usable, helping leaders pinpoint areas of improvement faster and deliver targeted training, care protocol updates, and better guidance for a cycle of continuous improvement of care delivery and patient experience.

Medbridge Outcomes features:

  • Outcomes collection: Medbridge clients are able to seamlessly collect outcomes across all clinics and patients within the normal care workflows. PROs can be assigned flexibly and customized to the needs of the organization. The platform also features built-in patient reminders to improve engagement and completion. Outcomes are viewable within the patient record, empowering clinicians and organizations to evolve care plans as needed at both the individual and enterprise levels.
  • Measurement tools: With outcomes measured and managed in a single platform, leaders can identify performance across the organization. This includes patient group comparisons and risk-adjusted benchmarking data to understand true care effectiveness and to help teams and organizations to understand how they compare with peers.
  • Integration and reporting: Medbridge integrates seamlessly with electronic health records (EHR), helping streamline the addition of PRO data into other patient management systems for seamless reimbursement and other reporting responsibilities.

In late 2026, collection and measurement tools will allow organizations to submit for MIPS reimbursement adjustments and enable Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) integration, which will make it easy for organizations to report custom, specialty-specific quality measures beyond standard MIPS measures.
