One of only four fully digital MSK platforms selected for the federal initiative launching July 5, 2026
SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–myHealthTrack, the digital-only musculoskeletal (MSK) platform powered by clinician-trained and governed AI, has been accepted into the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Advancing Chronic Care with Effective, Scalable Solutions (ACCESS) Model. The 10-year initiative is the first Original Medicare reimbursement pathway designed for digital platforms delivering outcomes-driven chronic MSK care, and myHealthTrack is one of the few selected organizations delivering care exclusively through a digital platform.
Eligible Medicare beneficiaries will access myHealthTrack at zero patient responsibility, with no co-pays, deductibles, or out-of-pocket costs, removing barriers that have historically kept chronic MSK patients from continuous, patient-centered care.
“We’ve always believed digital, AI-supported care was the future of MSK treatment. There just wasn’t a direct path to reimbursement. Until now.”
— Jason Burns, CEO, myHealthTrack
WHY IT MATTERS
More than three in four Americans aged 65 and older have a musculoskeletal condition, and MSK-related spending exceeds $380 billion annually — yet tech-enabled MSK care has been largely unreimbursed in Original Medicare.
Under ACCESS, organizations receive Outcome-Aligned Payments: fixed payments tied to patient improvements in pain and function via validated outcome measures. Revenue follows outcomes, not activity.
CLINICAL OUTCOMES ACROSS 60,000+ PATIENTS
Across 60,000+ real-world patients, governed by clinical leaders from 100+ elite institutions:
- 86% increased care plan adherence
- 74% eliminated need for in-person physical therapy
- 88% sustained healthy habits post-program
- 91% reported improved provider satisfaction
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR PATIENTS AND CLINICIANS
Beginning July 5, 2026, Original Medicare beneficiaries with chronic MSK pain can enroll at no out-of-pocket cost while retaining all standard Medicare benefits. CMS has also established a co-management payment compensating referring clinicians, keeping the care team central without disrupting existing workflows.
“My goal has always been to bring the level of care we provide elite athletes to every patient, especially between visits, when much of recovery happens. myHealthTrack closes that gap, with a clinically sound, outcomes focused approach. The ACCESS Model represents a meaningful step forward in musculoskeletal care.”
— Ken Montgomery, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon, NY Jets / Tri-County Orthopedics
COMMERCIAL OPPORTUNITY BEYOND ORIGINAL MEDICARE
Fourteen major health plans, including UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Cigna, CVS Health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates, have signed the ACCESS Payer Pledge, committing to outcomes-based payment by January 1, 2028. Together they represent 165 million Americans across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial markets.
