Mobius Scientific Announced as the Top Presenting Startup
ARLINGTON, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The 2023 Accelerate Investor Conference, one of the most prominent gatherings of innovators and investors in the startup world, has concluded with the announcement of its winners and prize recipients. The conference, which took place November 1-2, showcased innovation and entrepreneurship, bringing together a diverse group of investors, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs, providing a platform for startups to pitch their groundbreaking ideas and technologies.
The top presenting startup, Mobius Scientific, a nanodisc company treating eye diseases was selected by a panel of expert judges, including Sally Allain, Head of JLABS @ Washington DC, Manesh Gupta, Founder and Managing Director, MAAN Ventures, Caren Merrick, Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Commonwealth of Virginia, Tom Plofchan, Chief Investment Officer, Pangiam, and Gregory Washington, President, George Mason University. Mobius Scientific received a cash prize of $10,000 to support their business development and growth.

Prize recipients included:
Life sciences company Nanochon, won a one year of engagement with JLABS @ Washington, DC, with access to the global Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS ecosystem and mentorship from experts across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.
NanoBioFAB, received the Shrivastava Family RISE Program prize on behalf of donor Sumeet Shrivastava (MBA ’94) and his family, which was created to support an aspiring entrepreneur that is from the refugee and immigrant community.
Answer This, a team from the University of Richmond was the recipient of the Student Competition receiving $5,000 cash prize based.
