With this addition, Oria can answer a broader range of questions to inform market planning: who provides care, what it costs and how demand is projected to change over the next decade.
Most health economy stakeholders still utilize a demand model that projects perennial growth based on a small sample of actual outpatient encounters and unmeasurable estimates of “impact factors” instead of market-specific volumes. Trilliant Health’s research repeatedly shows the opposite: demand for acute healthcare services has been declining since 2008, while demand for ambulatory services has been relatively flat.
